What to see ?
Mullem
Mullem is an authentic castle village. Most of the houses are painted in a remarkable yellow ochre colour, used to show their dependence from the lord of the castle.
The Bekemolen is a mill in the area, well worth a visit.

On 11 July 1708 the European powers at the time and their enormous armies confronted one another in Oudenaarde. The Battle of Oudenaarde took place in the countryside northeast of town on the territories of the former communities of Eine, Heurne, Mullem and Ooike. England, a number of German principalities, such as Prussia and Hanover, and the Seven United Provinces formed a Great Alliance against France, which claimed the Spanish crown.
