Picturesque villages

There are many picturesque villages in the Flemish Ardennes, all with their own individual charm and all definitely worth a visit.

Kerselare with its modern chapel is a famous place of pilgrimage but is also well-known for its delicious ‘lekkies’, special handmade sweets from the confectioner Jan of Ghent.
Mater, a charming rural village, with the Saint Martinus church, the Saint Amelberga chapel, the Tissenhovemolen, the Zwadderkotmolen and local brewery Roman.
Mullem, an authentic castle village, with a very charming town square, the Bekemolen in the area and its turbulent military past.
Ename with its archaeological park (Provincial Archaeological Museum), the Saint Laurentius church and the forest of Ename.
