The Tour of Flanders Centre plunges you in the unique atmosphere of the famous bicycle race Tour of Flanders by means of multimedia, interactive attractions and unique collectors' items. The visit starts in the auditorium with a 13 minute long presentation on 3 large screens, giving you an introduction on the present and the past of the Tour. Every visitor gets the chance to put himself in the place of a cycling champion. You can see the Tour of Flanders through the eyes of the cyclists and feel the raging slopes and the merciless cobblestones. Freddy Maertens is your host (4 days out of 7) and can also be booked for an exclusive guided tour.
Brasserie ‘The Flandrien’ is the ideal stop to drink a Flandrien beer, eat a spaghetti Boononaise or a Koppenberg ice cream in the middle of hundreds of old cycling jerseys, bottles, photos and other memorabilia. Groups are also welcome. There is a sun terrace and live broadcasting of sports events on big screen. The Flandrien is open during the same opening hours as the Centre.
Before leaving the museum, you arrive at the museum shop, also accessible without a museum visit. The following articles are available:
