Genever
There are only eight distilleries left in Belgium that prepare their own grain distillate and Braeckman Grain Distillery is one of them. Furthermore, Braeckman has its own grain mill. Thus, the entire process from grain to drop can be realized in-house.
In 1918 Achiel Braeckman started a business in spirituous beverages. The distillery and the genever were given the name “De Blauwe Duif” (The Blue Pigeon). Now, three generations later, this same genever is still being produced according to the original method of preparation.
Braeckman succeeds in complementing old-fashioned tradition with high-tech acquisitions, which allows a close supervision of the quality, from the selection of the precious grains up to the bottling of the finished article. It is particularly this quality, combined with a rich family tradition of distilling genever, which results in a unique product.
Furthermore, Braeckman offers a wide product range of young and old genevers, fruit and cream genevers, fine liqueurs …
Surely, there is something to suit all tastes!
