Oudenaarde has always been a true beer city and in 2009 even more so than ever !

Every year during the last weekend of June, Oudenaarde organises the Adriaen Brouwer Beer Festival, an event not to be missed !

Oudenaarde has a rich brewing tradition with many regional breweries. Four of them are still active today: Roman, Liefmans, Cnudde and the new brewery Smisje.

Especially well-known and typical are the brown ales and fruit beers. Many restaurants serve a special beer menu.
